The culinary scene played an essential role throughout the revamp. In the mix of properties are the Cloister, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Tower, and Bungalows that have each brought their own flare of accommodations to the mix and are home to culinary delights - just one of the many perks to being a member of the exclusive club. Since 1926, the Boca Raton has been the luxurious members-only and hotel guests club that is comprised of five hotels amid 200 waterfront acres. From the pool decks to the culinary delights, the hotel was undergoing a major makeover - and we’re giving it our haute stamp of approval. Was the landmark we knew it as no longer going to be pink? What were the members of the exclusive The Boca Ratonto expect from the 200 million dollar redesign?Īs the doors to the hotel closed and renovations began, members caught a glimpse of the renovations that were taking place. The next stage of the redesign will include an overhaul of the guestrooms and a Presidential suite that will be unveiled later in the year.Two years ago, rumors spread high and low throughout the 561-area code about the pink tower undergoing a massive reconstruction. The dining room leads to an all-glass conservatory with a glowing trellis ceiling and arched, blackened steel details. Located in the historic Garden Room, Sadelle’s, an outpost of the famous New York bagel and brunch institution, is wrapped in blue wood panelling with antique mirrors and custom light fixtures added behind the banquette seating. The outdoor club is shaded by large trees and has its own bar – an intimate oasis for members, with ping-pong and pool tables. In the interior dining room, which was inspired by local flora and fauna, Rockwell Group enhanced the existing vaulted ceiling by adding white painted wood louvers along the perimeter. The dining room spills out onto a covered terrace with a bright and airy atmosphere, custom patterned floor tiles, and views of the golf club. The Flamingo Grill is a classic Floridian restaurant and members-only club with a tropical feel. Functioning as a bar, café and main social space, The Palm Court features a new storefront with glazed arches framed in black steel, a contemporary interpretation of the existing arches found elsewhere on the property, encouraging the connection between indoors and out. The Palm Court, which acts as the heart of the lobby, has been stripped of previous ‘80s and ‘90s renovations. The result is a streamlined space that highlights historic features and embraces the Floridian indoor-outdoor lifestyle, while adding warmth and modern luxury with the use of rich textures including wood, stone, and glass. The design embraces Mizner’s Mediterranean Revival and Spanish Colonial design ideals to return the property to its Golden Age. The New York-based architecture and interior design firm was inspired to rethink the amenity spaces to add cohesion and a renewed sense of luxury to the property.
